Is Spotify supported?

No. Spotify's DRM blocks the sample-accurate buffer access Choir requires. We prefer to be honest about this. v2.2 will add it as “Cast Mode”, but sync is disabled, just Spotify Connect orchestration.

Not yet. Android is Phase 5 (v2.1) on the roadmap, starting after sync is proven on iOS. OEM audio HAL variance destroys the calibration profile; if we rush it we can't honor our promise.

Free tier 2 phones, Pro tier 32 phones tested. Practical ceiling is your WiFi router capacity; most modern routers handle 32+ devices fine. For 50+ devices, “Hotspot Mode” (master hotspot) or hierarchical sync ships in v1.3. The sync engine isn't fundamentally capped; the architecture scales.

No. Choir only needs local WiFi; no internet connection required. Devices talk over UDP. In offline environments like parks or camping, use “Hotspot Mode” (master hotspot).

Honestly: phone speaker drivers are physically small, don't expect a real subwoofer. Multiple phones amplify total sound pressure proportionally but don't produce deep bass. We say this upfront instead of hiding it.
